The simple answer is yes. We will come to your property and access what needs to be done. This will give us a good understanding of what work is required and how much materials will need to be purchased. From here we will be able to work out a quote for the job.
The cost of a new roof depends on the size of the project. There are a lot of factors need to be considered in pricing a new roof. For example – how much scaffolding is required, how many skips we will need to remove the old roof and rubbish and the number of materials we need to do the job. Lastly how long it’s going to take to do the work from start to finish.
On average we take around one week to strip and retile a roof based on the types of houses and properties we work on here in Airdrie however the time spent on a roof really depends on the size of the roof. We will be able to tell you if you have an average-sized roof or if your property has a larger roof space. If you are thinking of slating a roof, this can be considerably longer due to it being more labour intensive.
Here in Scotland, most roofing systems will be guaranteed up to 20 years as long as it’s fitted to manufactures specifications. We fit all roofs to the guidelines and requirements set by the manufacturers but if we couldn’t meet the requirements due to an issue with your property we would let you know of this, as part of the quote.
No, all of our work is external rather than internal unless we’re required to fit a new roof window or another requirement. Any work that we do that requires us to have access to your property would be discussed with you as part of the quote. If we do require access, we would require a person over the age of 18 to be present whilst the work takes place.
No, a deposit is not required but if the job is of substantial size we would normally ask for small stage payments.
Not usually as we have enough skilled tradesmen within our team to cope with the demand. However, we do have a couple of experienced and fully qualified tradesmen who we can call upon if we take on larger projects. We have been using these guys for many years and they are reliable and trustworthy professionals. All our Jobs go through a final inspection before being signed off as customer satisfaction is always a top priority.
Yes, we guarantee our work for up to 12 months on labour. And the products used will have their guarantee also but these vary depending on the products used & services we provide on each contract.
We take photos of all of our roofs so that we can come down the ladder and show you how everything has been finished. Of course, you may look at it from the ground, however, the photos taken will show you all the different sections across the roof in much better detail. And if it’s ok with you we’d also like to add the photos to our website so that others can see our latest work. We wouldn’t be doing this if our work was shabby. We take our time and do the work to the highest of standards on every job. That’s the Tradetech way!
